The seminar led by Dr. Raphaela Schweiger will delve into the profound impacts of digitalization and technological advancements on migration and refugee policies. In a world shaped by rapid technological change, this seminar offers an exploration of the evolving landscape, both globally and in some specific cases in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Technology has already begun reshaping the experiences of migrants, refugees, and those on the move.
The third annual REEESNe Student Conference will be hosted by UMass Amherst the weekend of April 12th-14th (precise starting date and schedule to follow). This will be an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students throughout the network to meet and to present their REEES-related research, internships, and other experience. To the extent possible, REEESNe will cover travel and accommodations for student presenters with financial need. Proposals for presentations will be due early in 2024.
Our annual spring workshop will be hosted by Bryn Mawr College on March 1-2, 2024, and will focus on the evolving geopolitical landscape of study abroad, study away, and immersion experiences for students (precise program to follow, with applications for sponsored attendance due in early 2024).
