ESC Student Grants and FLAS Fellowships Info Session

The European Studies Council (ESC) of the Yale MacMillan Center will host an info session regarding all the student funding opportunities offered in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies for the upcoming year and summer including the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships (FLAS).

Students on Russophone Study Abroad Experiences in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Latvia

Hear from and pose questions to students from five REEESNe institutions, currently or recently studying (in) Russian in Almaty, Bishkek, Daugavpils, Tbilisi, and Yerevan. The conversations will be split into two sessions of roughly 30 minutes each to accommodate presenters on different continents:

12:20 pm Eastern U.S. Time: Georgia and Kazakhstan

5:00 pm Eastern U.S. Time: Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Latvia

Global Governance Debate

“The Global Governance Debate is an annual event that brings together students from Yale University and the Universidad Católica de Valencia to discuss topics of international relations and cooperation.
This year’s debate topic is “Does democracy guarantee security and prosperity in times of global crisis?” Over the course of two days, students will debate this topic in teams of three. There will also be opportunities for students to meet each other and exchange!
